Under Your Feet

Assalamu Alaikum
It's been a while since I posted, sorry, I've been busy. Here's another poem that I wrote though Inshallah.

"Under Your Feet"

In the beginning of my life, mother
I relied on you, so you held me close to you
When I was learning how to walk you were on the other end catching me
When I had problems, you were always walking beside to me
Forgive me when I allowed you to cry,
I didn’t realize that when I was in pain,
You held me in your eyes

As you raised me to be me, you grew too
Under your feet is paradise growing as beautifully as you do
Your womb will always be my true home
When you gave me siblings, you knew it was ‘cause I was alone
You carried us for 9 months and after those 9 months were gone
You’d wake up in the middle of the nights, up until dawn
Just to feed us when we cried a little bit
Sometimes you’d be up all day long, with no time to sit
And in the end we call you names, or say “I hate you”
Ya ummi forgive me if I’ve ever hurt you!!

Ya Ummi!
Forgive me when I allowed you to cry,
I didn’t realize that when I was in pain,
You held me in your eyes
And as you raised me to be me, you grew too
Under your feet is paradise growing as beautifully as you do

You had my first words memorized,
My first steps idolized
My first fall- a tragedy
My first cold- the agony
When you punished me, it was as if you were punishing yourself
You always put us first, before you even thought of your own health
And in the end we moan and groan about why you can’t be like the other mothers
Ya ummi forgive me when I complained! for you are incomparable to any other!

Ya Ummi!
Forgive me when I allowed you to cry,
I didn’t realize that when I was in pain,
You held me in your eyes
And as you raised me to be me, you grew too
Under your feet is paradise growing as beautifully as you do

I remember when we went hungry you put food in our mouths first
Ya rabbi forgive me when my mother asked me for a glass of water and I cursed!
When I cried at night, you wiped down my tears
You are my moonlight, the light that escaped me from my fears
When you yelled at me and I slammed the door
Why did you apologize to me when you knew it was my fault?
Damn this arrogance that I had within me! Ya ummi please forgive me!

Ya Ummi!
Forgive me when I allowed you to cry,
I didn’t realize that when I was in pain,
You held me in your eyes
And as you raised me to be me, you grew too
Under your feet is paradise growing as beautifully as you do

And today as you sit coughing in bed
I can’t bear to see you like this,
Can’t even kiss your burning head
All the regret and pain of me hurting you is rushing to my heart
How can I ever live without you when you were there from the start?
You knew me more than I knew myself
And yet I always used to deny that you knew how I felt
I hold your hands tightly before your last moments of departure
Seeing you ill, weak, and exhausted is torture
And still if I gave up the whole world for you
If I ripped apart the big sky blue
If I added the stars, planets and the moon
If I asked Allah to grant you health soon
If I asked Allah to regain your soul for you
Nothing can add up to what a child does compared to what his mother can do.

Ya Ummi!
Forgive me when I allowed you to cry,
I didn’t realize that when I was in pain,
You held me in your eyes
And as you raised me to be me, you grew too
Under your feet is paradise growing as beautifully as you do

Ya Ibnee!
When you were in pain, the bleeds were in me
I held you inside of my heart
For if you were in my eyes, the tears would push you out
As you grew, each stage of your face was recollected at mind
And all the wrong doings you’ve done have been left behind
You were never held in my eyes as you thought
You ARE my eyes and the rose of my heart
Forgive me my son if I have ever wronged you
I want you to know that I will always love you

Ya Ummi!
Inna lillahi, wa inna illahi raji’oon
May Allah protect over you, grant mercy upon you ameen
I might have lived my whole life thinking I knew me
But you’re the only human who saw all that I couldn’t see

And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal. [31:14]

We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam." [46:15]

But (there is one) who says to his parents, "Fie on you! Do ye hold out the promise to me that I shall be raised up, even though generations have passed before me (without rising again)?" And they two seek Allah's aid, (and rebuke the son): "Woe to thee! Have faith! for the promise of Allah is true." But he says, "This is nothing but tales of the ancients!" [46:17]

Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. [17:23]

And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood." [17:24]

It was narrated by Abu Hurairah (R) that a man came to the Prophet (pbuh) and asked him, 'Who is to be close to my friendship?' The Prophet (pbuh) answered:
Your mother, your mother, your mother, then your father, then the one closest to your kinship, and the one after.
Abu Huraira reported Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as saying: Let him be humbled into dust; let him be humbled into dust. It was said: God's Messenger, who is he? He said: He who sees either of his parents during their old age or he sees both of them, but he does not enter Paradise (because he has been undutiful to them). (Muslim)

While we were with Prophet Muhammad of God (pbuh), A man of Banu Salmah came to Him and said: Apostle of God is there any kindness left that I can do to my parents after their death? He replied: Yes, you can invoke blessings on them, forgiveness for them, carry out their final instructions after their death, join ties of relationship which are dependent on them, and honour their friends. (Abu Dawood)

A man came to the Prophet (pbuh) and asked him for permission to join a military expedition. The Prophet (pbuh) asked him if he had a mother, and when he replied that he had, he said, "Stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet." (Ahmad)

A Warning About Not Praying

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatallah Wa Barakatu

What has been narrated from Allah and from His Messenger concerning the punishment of the one who does not pray is sufficient.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, As‑Salaah (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours” [al-Nisa’ 4:103]

And Allaah says of the people of Hell (interpretation of the meaning):

“‘What has caused you to enter Hell?’

They will say: ‘We were not of those who used to offer the Salaah (prayers)’” [al-Muddaththir 74:42-43]

and He mentioned among their attributes the fact that they did not pray.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“The covenant that stands between us and them is prayer; whoever gives up prayer is a kaafir.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2621; al-Nasaa’i, 431; Ibn Maajah, 1079. classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 2113.

And there are other verses and ahaadeeth which speak of giving up prayer, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described it as kufr.

Editors Note: The way we pray as Muslimeen provides unity in the Ummah, Self-perseverence in our souls, and the distiguishing traits between a Muslim and a nonMuslim..plus it's the time where Allah will really answer you when you sincerly pray from your heart subhanallah. Don't complain when your life isn't going the way it is. If you play your part right, Allah will definately play his.

"O Allah! What did he find who found You?

And what did he lose who lost You?"

The one who found Allah has found EVERYTHING.

And the one who loses Allah has lost EVERYTHING.

Always say Inshallah wa Alhemdulilah

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatallah wa Barakatu

Inshallah you woke up this morning with a big smile on your face.

Inshallah you prayed al-fajr and read your Quran to start your day off right!

Inshallah your breakfast was warm and tasted just right as you were smiling contently when family members wished each other a cheery good morning in your peaceful abode.

Inshallah today will be filled with lovely surprises and beautiful friends that call you up just to say 'Salaam' and your loved ones will be praying for you.

Inshallah you will feel on top of the world with a spring in each of your steps all the time when you think of Allah subhana wa ta'ala's gracious and merciful blessings upon you.

Inshallah everything goes your way.

Inshallah everything is well with your world, a place for everything and everything is in it's place.

Inshallah you strive to please Allah subhana wa ta'ala as you compliment Islam, spread Islam, praise Islam, glorify islam, live to Islam's name.

Inshallah you will benefit greatly when reading the Glorious and Holy Quran while Allah subhana wa ta'ala is healing your heart, teaching your heart, fulfilling your heart and cleansing your heart with His words.

and Inshallah..

If you have had a bad day at work, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala. Appreciate that you have a job, because some people don't.

When you pay your bills, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala when you are able to pay them, for some don't have the luxuries to recieve such bills to pay or even the ability to gather enough of money to pay for the bills that aren't for profligate luxuries.

If you see a gray hair or are complaining about your bad haircut, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala. Think of the cancer patients in chemotherapy who wish they had hairs on their head.

When you find yourself waiting in a line or are the recipient of poor service, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala. Think of the people who have no food to eat and are hungry all the time.

When you realize how much work it is to take care of a house, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala that you have a home. Think of those who are homeless and wish they had a home to take care of.

When you feel like complaining because you have to walk a long distance from your car, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala. Think of what it would be like not to be able to walk!

If you are getting irritated by others' angers, apathy, ignorance, bitterness, or insecurities, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala. Things could be worse. You could be one of them!

When you think everything in your world is terrible and you want to give up, be thankful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala, think of the people who have been told they only have a certain amount of time to live. They don't want to give up.

Inshallah you have had a perfect day and that every day is just as wonderful in its own way. Inshallah you will be blessed with all you prayed for yourself and may those close and dear to you be granted their sincere du'as true.

Inshallah your deen is firm and true. Inshallah you thank Allah 'azawajaal for all the Blessings He's bestowed upon you and His merciful forgivenesses He's granted you.

Most of all, be thankful for Allah subhana wa ta'ala's presence in your life. He's blessed you with the gifts of seeing, hearing, moving, feeling, emotion, learning, and speaking. Do you need anything else to pass His test?

May Allah subhana wa ta'ala's blessings and grace surround you with happiness, peace, harmony, contentment, prosperity, and good health. May the noor of the Holy Quran fill your heart and soul. May the truth of Islam bring unity in our Ummah and may peace in the dunyaa prevail. May Allah subhana wa ta'ala accept your siyaam (fasting), qiyaam and i'bidaahs. Ameen!

ALHEMDULILAH ALHEMDULILAH ALHEMDULILAH ALHEMDULILAH ALHEMDULILAH YA RABB!!!!

Lastly, don't be an expecting pessimist, or a hoping optimist, be a THANKFUL REALIST.

Just One Minute

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatallah wa barakatu

Quote of the Day:

"There are two blessings that many people fail to make the most of: Good Health and Free Time." [Sahih Bukhari]

Time is of the essence, it is too precious to be wasted or neglected. The wiseperson is the one who pays attention to his time and does not treat it as avessel to be filled with cheap things and vain talk. Instead, he limits it to worthy efforts and righteous deeds that please Allah and benefit other people.

Every minute of a person’s life carries the potential to raise his own status and to make his people happier, little by little.

If you are keen to attain the highest position, and bring the most happiness to your people, then forget about relaxing and keep away from empty amusement.

In one minute you can do a lot of good and earn much reward. In just one minute, by giving in charity, studying, memorizing, or striving to do good deeds, you can make sure that this minute of your life is not wasted. One minute may be recorded in your book of good deeds if you know how to make the most of it and take care of it.

Strive to make the most of each minute. If you forget it, you forget the most important thing: the truth. There follows a list of things that can be done in one minute, by the permission of Allah:

1. In one minute you can recite Surat al-Fatihah 3 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Some scholars said that the reward for reading al-Fatihah is more than 600 hasanahs, so if you read it 3 times you will, by the permission of Allah, gain more than 1800 hasanahs – all of that in one minute.

2. In one minute you can recite Surat al-Ikhlaas (Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad) 20 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Reciting it once is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’aan. If you read it 20 times it is equivalent to reading the Qur’aan 7 times. If you read it 20 times in one minute each day, you will have read it 600 times in one month, and 7200 times in one year, which will be equal in reward to reading the Qur’aan 2400 times.

3. You can read one page of the Book of Allah in one minute.

4. You can memorize a short ayah of the Book of Allah in one minute.

5. In one minute you can say La illaha Illallah wahdahu la shareekalah, lahu'l mulk wa lahu'l hamd wa huwa 'ala kulu shay'in qadeer (There is no god except Allah alone with no partner; to Him be dominion and praise, and He is able to do all things) – 20 times. The reward for saying this is like freeing 8 slaves for the sake of Allah from among the sons of Isma’eel.

6. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allah) 100 times. Whoever says that in one day will be forgiven for his sins even if they are like the foam of the sea.

7. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allahi wa bi hamdihi Subhaan Allaahil-‘Adheem (Glory and praise be to Allah, glory be to Allah the Almighty) 50 times. These are two phrases which are light on the lips, heavy in the balance and beloved to the Most Merciful, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.

8. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When I say ‘Subhaan Allaah, walhamdulillah, wa laa ilaah ilallah, wa Allahu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god except Allah, and Allah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun risesupon.” (Narrated by Muslim). In one minute, you can say all of these words morethan 18 times. These words are the most beloved words to Allaah, the best of words, and they weigh heavily in the balance of good deeds, as was narrated in the saheeh ahadith.

9. In one minute you can say, Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no power except with Allaah) more than 40 times. This is one of the treasures of Paradise, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. They are ameans of putting up with difficulties and of aiming to achieve great things.

10. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah approximately 50 times. This is the greatest word, for it is the word of Tawheed, the good word, the word that stands firm. If these are the last words of a person, he will enter Paradise, and there are other reports which indicate how great these words are.

11. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, waridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi (Glory and praise be to Allah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words) more than 15 times. This words bring many more times the reward for other forms of tasbeeh and dhikr, as was reported in saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

12. In one minute you can seek the forgiveness of Allah more than 100 times by saying “Astaghfir-Allaah (I seek the forgiveness of Allaah). The virtues of seeking forgiveness are no secret, for it is the means of attaining forgiveness and entering Paradise, and it is the means of being granted a good life, increasing one’s strength, warding off disasters, making things easier, bringing rain and increasing one’s wealth and children.

13. You can say a few brief and concise words in one minute, and Allaah may bring about some good through them that you could never imagine.

14. In one minute you can send blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) 50 times by saying Sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (May Allaah bless him and grant him peace). In return Allaah will send blessings upon you 500 hundred times because one blessing brings ten like it.

15. In one minute you can motivate your heart to give thanks to Allaah, to love Him, to fear Him, to put hope in Him, to long for Him, and thus travel through the stages of ‘uboodiyyah (total enslavement to Allaah). You could do this when you are lying on your bed or walking in the street.

16. In one minute you can read more than two pages of a useful book that is easy to understand.

17. In one minute you can uphold the ties of kinship by calling a relative onthe phone.

18. You can raise your hands and recite any du’aa’ you wish from the books of du’aa’, in one minute.

19. You can say salaams to and shake hands with a number of people in one minute.

20. You can forbid an evil action in one minute.

21. You can enjoin something good in one minute.

22. You can offer sincere advice to a brother in one minute.

23. You can console someone who is depressed in one minute.

24. You can remove something harmful from the road in one minute.

25. Making the most of one minute motivates you to make the most of other periods that would otherwise be wasted.

Al-Shaafa’i (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

'When people go to sleep, I let my tears flow, and I recite a verse of the most eloquent poetry. Is it not a waste that nights go by and I do not increase in knowledge, yet this time is counted as part of my life?'

Finally, the more sincere you are towards Allah and the more aware you are of Him, the greater will be your reward and the more your hasanaat will increase.

Note that most of these actions will not cost you anything; they do not require tahaarah (purity) and they will not tire you out or take much effort. On the contrary, you can do them whilst you are walking, or in your car, or lying down, or standing, or sitting, or waiting for somebody.

These actions are also among the greatest means of attaining happiness, expanding the chest (i.e., bringing relief and joy) and removing stress and anxiety. May Allaah help us and you to do that which He loves and which pleases Him. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad. Ameen!
